I love you!

We had to go and pick up EJ from daycare early on Thursday because he began vomiting. We took him to the doctor who told us he had two ear infections (unrelated to the vomiting). Dr. Tan said he didn't know why EJ was throwing up, but gave him a two shots, one was an antibiotic for the ear infection, and the other was a anti-nausea drug. The Doc. basically told us to sit tight and wait to see what happens. Well, we did, and EJ is getting better. He continued to throw up during the night and developed a fever, but he's stopped throwing up this morning and began to hold down some Pedialyte. He's also sleeping alot- which I know he needs, since he was up ALL night. We have a follow up appointment in about an hour and he'll receive a second dose of antibiotics and check up on how EJ's doing.

1st Birthday Memories

We picked up EJ from daycare today and he was such a happy little boy. Ms. Ella (his primary daycare provider) decorated her house with birthday stuff and sent EJ home with a "birthday cupcake". EJ fell in love. He's still really picky when it comes to table food- however, that logic went out the window when we placed that cupcake O' sugary goodness in front of him.

Happy Birthday EJ

Happy Birthday my son. Mama loves you very much.

Here's a poem in memory of your 1st year:

When you were born
It was your cry I first heard
On a warm sunny day
It was April the third

You are a prefect little boy
Chubby Little thighs
So personable, and oh,
Those great big blue eyes

One year later
It came too fast
These moments I'll remember
Forever they must last

Happy Birthday to you
God bless you my son
I'll love you forever
My heart you have won

Long Time No Eeeej! :-P

Some pictures for everyone to enjoy. Everyone is doing well at the Dee household. I've sent out the invitations for EJ's first birthday party and I have to say that I am quite excited about the whole thing. He is doing well really lately and has got ALOT of teeth. He's finally not a little vampire baby anymore. Those top two teeth finally decided to come in. Yay! Daycare is going well. He plays outside regularly- so much that they had me bring in shoes, a hat, and sunscreen for him. Hahaha. Apparently he loves to play outside. I know he likes to BE outside, but we don't really have a good "play" backyard- so I didn't know that he enjoyed "playing" outside.

I'm going to be taking him in for his one year appointment sometime within the next few weeks and we'll have him weighed there, but I'm sure he weighs at least 30lbs. He's very healthy. He's eating solids alot more regularly and is actually weaning himself off of formula. We bought him his first 1/2 gallon of WHOLE milk the other day. I haven't given any to him yet, but I probably will within the next few days. He really enjoys his teething biscuits lately and eats the whole thing. Most of the time he gags as he eats the end part of it, but eventually he gets the whole thing down. I'm pretty sure he's got some sort of texture obsession going on. He doesn't like things that have "weird" textures. Especially his food. It's definitely going to be interesting getting this kid into regular food. He does like instant Cinnamon Roll flavored oatmeal and chopped up "nanners" (bananas). No steak and potatoes yet.

We had portraits taken a couple weeks ago and in a few days I'll post 'em up on here for everyone. I just don't have time to scan them all up on here and do it now. But I promise, they'll get up here one day. Hahahaha. I might include my log in name and password for the JC Penny's that took them too- that way anyone who wants can go on the website and order prints for themselves if they'd like. Let me know what ya'll think.

See ya!
